Objective To explore the influence factors on delayed lactation period II in puerpera. Methods From Aug. to Sep. 2018, a total of 100 puerpera, delivering in the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University were enrolled. General in formation, breast condition and breast feeding information were evaluated by using Evaluation Sheet of Breast Feeding of Delayed Onset of Lactation Period II in all subjects. Results Among the 100 puerpera, 32 cases were with delayed onset of lactation in 24h and 48h after delivery, respectively, while 38 cases were with delayed onset of lactation in 72 h after delivery. The rates of delayed onset of lactation in puerpera with nipple flat, hollow and enlargement and with breast surgery were both higher than 50.0 %, respectively. The rate of delayed onset of lactation of puerpera with non exclusive breastfeeding was high er than that of puerpera with exclusive breastfeeding, but there was no significance(P >0. 05) . The rates of delayed onset of lactation of puerpera with psycho genie breast milk deficiency and maternal separation were both high er than 50. 0 %, respectively. The rates of delayed onset of lactation of puerpera with nursing posture problem, lactation problem, nursing times less than 8 or shortened lactation time were all higher than that of puerpera without related problem (P < 0 . 05) . Conclusion Nursing posture problem, lactation problem, and nursing times less than 8 or shortened lactation could be risk factors of delayed onset of lactation.
