- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Such a Long Journey" by Rohinton Mistry is presented. It explores the life and career of Gustad Noble, middle class Parsi everyman and reflects presence of nostalgia and a sense of loss in the literature. It presents an accounts of Parsi rituals in the form of the elaborate funeral rites at the Fire Temple following accounts of Parsi rituals in the form of the elaborate funeral rites at the Fire Temple following demise of his friend Dinshawji.
