- Abstract
The article reflects on the National Advisory Committee on the Handicapped (NACH) which is helping the federal government in assessing the system dedicated to the education of children with handicaps. NACH is responsible in reviewing the administration and operation of programs authorized by the Education of the Handicapped Act and other law provisions with respect to the handicapped administered by the Commissioner which include their effect on the improvement of the educational attainment of handicapped children and youth. NACH is also responsible in reviewing the administration and operation of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf and the Model Secondary School for the Deaf.
