- Abstract
This document summarizes a study on the use of BIAsp 30, a type of insulin, as an alternative to basal-bolus insulin regimens for people with type 2 diabetes. The study found that adding or switching to BIAsp 30 resulted in a small reduction in HbA1c levels after 6 months, along with minor changes in BMI and high treatment persistence. However, some patients still had poor glycemic control and may have needed additional treatments. The study has limitations, including potential errors and a small sample size, and was sponsored by Novo Nordisk A/S.
