- Abstract
The article offers informaiton on the findings of the first annual report of Acting Chief Inspector for Schools in Wales (ESTYN) Ann Keane for the status of education in Wales. The report shows that children have been left behind by others in Great Britain due to the slow improvements of their schools. It adds that pupils have poor literacy and skills for science and numeracy. The Chief Inspector (CI) blames teachers for such uncompetitiveness and suggests the need of better leadership training.
