- Abstract
The article describes the case of a one-year-old Latino boy who had ten days of cough and nasal congestion followed by two days of fevers, decreased food intake, and diarrhea. Topics discussed include the most common pathogens associated with pediatric necrotizing pneumonia (NP) in the U.S., reason that diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) in young children can be difficult, and standard treatment for TB.
