- Abstract
The article looks at efforts of archivists, historians, documenters and stagers in preserving the dance works of 20th-century American choreographers including George Balanchine. Topics discussed are importance of capturing the memories of the original muses of legendary choreographers to preserving their work, struggle of getting dancers to interpret instructional videos of choreographers, and the problem with funding and time needed in dance preservation.
