This article discusses the rice paddy art project on the land of Inakadate Village in Honshu, Japan. According to the article, the year 2009 images of horseback representations of Emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte and a Sengoku-period warrior were planted by the villagers using green, purple, and yellow rice leaves. The images were harvested at the end of September. The 2010 rice paddy art project will begin in April and visitors can then view the art from a castle overlooking the paddies.
