Abstract
The article deals with the therapeutic effects of music. It examines whether music's appeal to the emotional and physical sides of human nature are always beneficial or desirable as the actual evil effects of music are not easy to trace. It also mentions several views on the origins of music from popular individuals such as the naturalist Charles Darwin and English philosopher Herbert Spencer.
