- Abstract
The article presents a retrospective cohort study which compares the prevalence of disordered eating (DE), menstrual irregularity (MI), and musculoskeletal injury (INJ) among female high school athletes in oral contraceptive pill (OCP) users and non-OCP users. The study involved female high school athletes in Madison, Wisconsin. The study finds higher prevalence of DE among athletes using OCP as compared with non-OCP users, although MI and INJ rates are similar among groups.
