The article focuses on the nanowafer technology to delivery ocular drugs being studied by researchers at Baylor College of Medicine's Cullen Eye Institute in Houston, Texas which could replace inefficient eye drops. Comments from study author Steven Pflugfelder on the technology are noted. These researchers received grants from the U.S. Department of Defense to study this technology's potential for treating traumatic eye injuries among soldiers.
