- Abstract
The article looks at the health effects of amanitin towards cattle. The study was performed on 2- and 3-month-old calves from 2 different herds, where they were studied using histopathology to find signs of the toxin, which was discovered in causing acute panlobular hepatic necrosis in calves. Results proved that amanitin contributed to the disease and death of the calves, where the toxin comes from various mushroom species.
