- Abstract
For these patients, particularly when severe trauma is combined with unstable vital signs, we do not recommend definitive surgery like emergency pancreaticoduodenectomy for the intervention significantly raises the mortality. Injuries to the neck of the pancreas, especially crush injuries caused by car seat belts, are suitable for CP, which can avoid innocent resection of the pancreatic body and tail. Although DCS will inevitably delay the definitive surgery, however, it can effectively avoid the potential increase in mortality from more invasive surgery at the peak of trauma.
