- Abstract
The article presents several case studies related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in children. A newborn infant was admitted to the Gastroenterology Department wherein medical history and physical examination were consistent with infantile spasm (IS) rather than GERD diagnosis. A young baby was diagnosed with IS after two months of Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI) treatment for GERD. IS was confirmed to a two-month-old boy due to persistent symptoms and occurrence of spasms.
