The article focuses on difficulties of regulating banking and the limits of professionalism with the impact of global financial crisis (GFC) and revelations of bank manipulation of the London Inter-bank Offering Rate (LIBOR). It mentions enforcement of professional duties in the banking sector with securitisation and sale as investment at housing loans and conglomeration of functions associated with amalgamation of ownership.
