- Abstract
The article discusses the role of high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) in the regulation of osteoclastogenesis that is induced by receptor activator of NF-B ligand (RANKL) in association with the receptor for advanced glycation endproducts (RAGE). The study suggests that signaling in HMGB1, a nonhistone nuclear protein, and RAGE immunoglobins appears to regulate actin cytoskeleton reorganization and have some association with inflammatory mechanisms and bone resorption.
