- Abstract
The article examine the concentration of health spending among individuals with employment-based health benefits. It mentions concentration of health spending and the persistency of such spending is as important in evaluating the efficacy of the movement to higher cost-sharing through deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance as a way to manage use of health care services. It also mentions coinsurance requires plan participants to pay a percentage of the charge.
