- Abstract
The article describes a diamond with a strong orange color that was believed to be partially caused by the 594 nanometer absorption spectra of irradiated and annealed diamonds. The diamond is described as marquise-cut stone which was color graded Fancy Deep brownish yellowish orange. It was observed that it displayed a moderately strong green fluorescence after being exposed to long-wave ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It was found that the diamond contained a high concentration of nitrogen, as is typical of a type Ia stone.
