- Title
Accelerating scaleup for battery-grade silicon-enhanced graphite.
- Abstract
OneD Battery Sciences and Koch Modular Process Systems have partnered to create the first integrated North American plant for producing silicon-graphite anode materials for electric vehicle (EV) batteries. The project combines onsite silane production with the manufacture of silicon-graphite nanode materials. By integrating modular silane production into OneD's Sinanode process, battery production costs can be reduced, and range and charging speed can be increased. The plant is expected to produce around 20,000 tons per year of silicon-enhanced EV-grade graphite, with plans to scale up to 40,000 tons per year.
