The article offers information on the use of stepwise approaches for the management of an increasing ecological complexity in forest landscape restoration. The topics addressed include information on the steps based approaches comprising pre-planned stepwise approach, developing stepwise approach, and responsive stepwise approach; detail on resilience in ecology; and use of planting fast- growing non-native Melina arboreal (gather) for environmental protection.
