- Abstract
The article discusses a study on two species of pirate bugs, Orius insidiosus and Orius pumilio. It is discussed that male and female genitalia, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequences and the result of their mating were observed to understand the relationship between these species. The study revealed 91 percent homology in the 18S ribosomal sequences while few or no eggs results from interspecific mating which conclude that O. insidiosus and O. pumilio are two separate species.
