- Abstract
A reprint of the article "Four Sources Relating to Bach, Organ Builder Johann Scheibe, and the Organs in Zschortau and Stötteritz" by Lynn Edwards Butler, which appeared in the journal "Bach-Jahrbuch 97" is presented. It analyzes documents related to German composer Johann Sebastian Bach's assessment of the Zschortau organ in 1746 and the new organ for the church in Stötteritz, Germany. It also mentions the examination and dedication of the organ by Johann Gottlieb Görner.
