- Abstract
The article discusses the case of an 11-year old male who presented with complaints of poor dental esthetics and intermittent pain after a traumatic injury. The diagnosis for the patient's tooth number 21 was necrotic with chronic apical periodontitis. It cites the treatment applied which involved the irrigation of canal space with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite and sealing of tooth with a mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), glass ionomer and composite resin. The author stresses that the placement of the MTA could have been done at the initial visit.
