The article focuses on the changes in the medical school admission in Canada. It relates on several traditional admission practices eliminated by Canadian medical schools to achieve socio-economically diverse medical students including the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), autobiographical essays and panel-style interview. It mentions several schools that employed such changes including University of British Columbia (UBC), University of Saskatchewan and McMaster University.
