- Authors
Zimiles, Herbert
- Abstract
This article examines some of the complexities associated with designing and evaluating an educational program that is aimed at meeting the developmental needs of children in the U.S. The new methods of evaluation are applicable to forms of education that do not embrace traditionally defined academic objectives. In this regard, it is important to adopt a psychological frame of reference in defining the task of evaluating education. Lastly, dynamic psychology not only provided a conceptual framework for explaining how child development was influenced by school experience.
