- Abstract
The article presents a study on the various aspects of a modified concrete microbar test (CMT) that asesses potential alkali-reactivity of siliceous aggregates with particle size between 4.75 and 12.5 millimeters, a 0.33 water cement ratio, and a 1.1 aggregate-cement ratio. The study used various aggregate gradations that involves no-fines mixtures that adds to the coarsest aggregate size fraction in the lessened alkali-silica reaction expansions. The study conclude that the selected items that contain fine aggregate has greater expansion than no-fine mixtures, and the ranges practiced in the study has a minimal effect to the concrete microbar mixtures that contains fine aggregate.
