- Abstract
The Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education (JMTE) has been publishing research on mathematics teacher education since 1998. The current issue explores the diversity of research in this field, specifically focusing on the objects of study. The concept of relation, proposed within the Anthropological Theory of the Didactic (ATD), serves as a modeling tool for analyzing the various aspects of mathematics teacher education. The nine papers in this issue examine the relation between institutional positions (such as teachers or teacher educators) and objects (such as mathematical concepts or students' thinking) within different educational institutions. The concept of relation allows for a comprehensive understanding of the objects of study in the field of mathematics teacher education.
