- Abstract
The article "Sociotechnical Innovations and Successful Aging" examines the approach of sociotechnical systems for successful aging. It considers the interaction of older people with technological systems in various situations and at all stages of technology research and design. The article sheds light on the role and function of sociotechnical systems in gerontological research, particularly in material gerontology, participatory co-design research, and the promotion of digital skills. It explores various perspectives on how sociotechnical innovations can enable and influence successful aging. The article emphasizes the importance of participation and multiple perspectives in the design and implementation of sociotechnical innovations.
