- Abstract
The article critiques several aspects of author Hanna Rosin's book "The End of Men: And the Rise of Women" which began as an article in the July-August 2010 issue of "Atlantic" Magazine, focusing on the concepts of essentialism, male dominance, and the progression of women in the U.S. Oppression and violent victimization are mentioned in relation to black boys and men in America. Male hierarchy, the juvenile justice system, and disproportionate minority confinement (DMC) are also examined.
