- Abstract
This article, published in the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology, discusses the anatomical variations of the radio-ulnar arterial system and their implications for trans-radial access in neuroendovascular procedures. The study analyzed 160 trans-radial procedures conducted over 18 months, including diagnostic cerebral angiographies and therapeutic neuroendovascular procedures. The results showed that the majority of procedures were performed through the right radial access, with the radial artery typically arising from the lateral aspect of the brachial artery. Understanding these anatomical variations is crucial for minimizing access complications in neurointervention procedures.
