- Title
Trends in Body Mass of Ducks over Time: The Hypotheses in Guillemain et al. Revisited.
- Authors
Gunnarsson, Gunnar; Elmberg, Johan; Waldenström, Jonas
- Abstract
In this article the authors discuss the introgression by framed-released birds which has resulted in the increase of the body mass for Mallards in Europe. They state that the enhanced body mass is not exclusive to the shift in sub-population distribution and the stocking effect hypothesis. The authors note that the few recoveries from the Mediterranean flyway were shown in a mark-recovery analysis.
