- Authors
Azvolinsky, Anna
- Abstract
The article addresses issues concerning the efficacy of cancer vaccines. A study published in the August 2012 issue of "Nature Medicine" has demonstrated the early promise of IMA901 as a therapeutic vaccine for renal cell cancer (RCC). Results from the study showed a 64% rate of immune response among 64 patients, 26% of whom responded to multiple antigens in the vaccine. Other cancer vaccines being developed and tested are cited including the AGS-003 from Argis Therapeutics.
