- Abstract
The article answers a question on psychodynamic psychotherapy. It references a study published in the October 2006 issue of the "American Journal of Psychiatry." Patients suffering from different psychological conditions were divided into two groups and assigned at random to treatment with or without transference interpretations. Findings indicate that the kind of patient usually regarded as unsuitable for transference interpretations got more benefit with the technique than without it.
