- Abstract
Introduction: In a society so changing as which we live, the development of the scientific attitude in students is a priority within the educational system. For the above, this paper objective: was to develop scientific thinking skills through simple experiments around Newton's three laws in second-grade students. Material and methods: This is a qualitative study with an interpretative approach where exploration of previous ideas was carried out through demonstrations by the teacher guiding the classes, an intervention through the experiences of simple experiments and an evaluation with examples from the world of life. of each student. It was also taken into account, the registration of teaching practices in a pedagogical journal for critical and reflective analysis of pedagogical practices. Results: It was possible to appreciate that it is from everyday life and according to the interests of the students that scientific thinking skills can be promoted such as observation, formulation of a hypothesis, recording of results and generation of conclusions after a confrontation of what was found in simple experimentation. Conclusion: The simple experiments are motivational pedagogical situations that arouse the curiosity and interest of the student, leaving aside memory processes and approaches. Finally, the pedagogical diary was considered fundamental for the teacher's self-evaluation regarding teaching-learning processes, leading to continuous improvement and transformation not only of teaching but also of the teacher's identity.
