- Abstract
This paper is a critical analysis of the relationship between the legislative and executive power in the Republic of Macedonia. The model of organization of power is essential for any political system, including the Macedonian. The analysis starts from the principle of division of powers, continues with its (non) implementation in the Republic of Macedonia and ends with conclusions and recommendations. The political system is not determined only by the constitutional framework. It is also determined by the (un)democratic tradition, the model of political culture, the electoral and party system. In this sense, the same normative model works differently in different countries or different periods of development of the same political system. This is especially evident in the relations between Parliament and Government
