- Abstract
The article reports on the meeting of a group of families and Patricia Hewitt, the health secretary of the England Department of Health and Social Service, in March 2007 in Great Britain to discuss the death of their relatives with learning disabilities due to failures of the National Health Service. Mencap claimed that these individuals died due to the institutional discrimination by the NHS. It is stated that the job of reviewing the cases was passed to the Healthcare Commission.
