- Abstract
While adults with I MAP3K7 i deletions are known to be predisposed to primary cardiomyopathies in the absence of congenital heart disease3, to our knowledge, fetal/neonatal manifestations of I MAP3K7 i -associated pathology have not been described. Second, while increased nuchal translucency is associated with an increased risk of cardiac malformations, there are limited data regarding the future risk of cardiomyopathy among fetuses with normal cardiac anatomy on echocardiography. Although these sonographic findings and postnatal diagnosis represent only one case of association between a I MAP3K7 i variant and neonatal dilated cardiomyopathy, this case highlights three important considerations.
