- Abstract
The article discusses how the political relations between Angola and the Democratic Republic of the Congo is affecting the status of migrant workers. The two governments have been in a constant row over energy resources as well as revenue from the diamond trade. The aid agency Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Popoli has documented the expulsions of Congolese migrants from the northern part of Angola, some of them were accompanied by gang rape and other sexual assaults.
