- Abstract
There is increasing emphasis upon improving levels of medical engagement as a route to improving service quality. Organisations with more engaged clinical staff appear to have better performance measures. This study describes the development process involved in designing a medical engagement scale and identifying appropriate reliability and validity data. A new scale is reported, which is now available through the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.
