- Abstract
The article discusses 1950s Polish propaganda that targeted Western European military integration and the European Defense Community (EDC). It explores Polish posters and political cartoons, examining the journals "Nowe drogi" and "Trybuna ludu," both run by the Central Committee of the Polish Communist party, or Polish Workers’ Party (PPR), later the Polish United Workers’ Party (PZPR), as well as the satirical weekly publication "Szpilki." The author comments on anti-American and and anti-capitalist themes and explores the ideological context of Polish communism.
