The article presents literary criticism of the book "Mansfield Park" by Jane Austen. It explores the relationship between visual perception and internal visualization and reflection. Particular focus is given to landscape gardens and the manipulation of space and vision in Austen's novel. Topics discussed include imagination and the 18th-century landscape design feature known as the ha-ha.
