The article focuses on the comparison between Yann Martel's novel "Life of Pi," with Edgar Allan Poe's work "Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym." It discusses the issues of plagiarism within Martel's work such as the use of the name Richard Parker, and in cannibalism on the flow of the story. Moreover, an overview of Martel's work is presented.
