- Authors
Beisel, Susan
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the plan to integrate international education with social studies curriculum in Ohio. The author discloses that Governor Ted Strickland approved a proclamation regarding the celebration of International Education Week in 2008 and announced that school systems in the state can be capable of establishing their curriculum with international education. She suggests that teachers can combine various standards of social studies including History and Geography based upon the subject to satisfy all their indicators. She also refers to the importance of modern media in teaching global education due to accessibility of documents from the internet. Moreover, global education must contain knowledge on issues beyond national borders.
