Reflections on Irish Writing in 2008.
- Authors
Pierce, David
- Abstract
In this article the author reflects on the Irish writings in 2008 in Ireland. The author states that the plays of Edna Walsh such as "The Walworth Farce" and "The New Electric Ballroom" does not offer much of prescient as immediate and descriptive of the world surrounding the theatre. Meanwhile, the novel "Netherland" of Joseph O'Neill features fictional and documentary elements of the 9/11 attack.
