- Abstract
Dr. Clarence M. Morgan earned his place in history as the Hoosier Schoolmaster of the Air. Morgan's leadership of Indiana State Teachers' College's (ISTC) program of broadcasting, both radio and television, and his cooperative partnership with WBOW 1230 AM, brought prestige and national recognition to ISTC, now Indiana State University (Indiana State), and its plethora of notable broadcasting alumni. This paper examines the events leading up to Morgan's remarkable career and to explain why his work and legacy are still relevant today.
