- Abstract
The article discusses 2023 research which shows the link of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to eating disorders (ED). Topics covered include the severe anxiety and depression experiences and poorer quality of life of individuals across an age, health, and societal spectrum with ED and comorbid PTSD, compared to those without PTSD. Also noted is the need for integrated, concurrent treatments targeting EDs and PTSD to help patients with complex conditions.
