The article focuses on the life of Johann Rottmayer as the first Hungarian Baptist who become the first Hungarian Adventist. It also discusses the practice of free Church missions in the nineteenth century in Central Europe. It states that Rottmayer is respected by Hungarian Baptists as being the first Hungarian Baptist and a true pioneer of the Baptist faith in Hungary. It explores Rottmayer's missions and his significant works as a Baptist. It notes that there was an issue that Rottmayer ended his life as an Adventist.
