- Abstract
The article discusses research on the usage and dosage of caffeine used in the neonatal units in Australia and New Zealand. Topics covered include the use by neonatologists of caffeine to treat apnoea of prematurity and to prevent apnoea for at-risk preterm infants, variation in the maintenance daily dose, and the variation in the time frame of neonatologists with regards to the monitoring of infants following cessation of caffeine therapy.
