First Action Methods Adopted for Flavanols, SMPRs Approved for Ingredients and Heavy Metals.
- Abstract
The article reports that the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) through its expert review panels (ERP) has adopted first action methods for flanavols in foods as of November 4, 2013. It highlights the three first action methods for flanavols in foods which have been evaluated against standard method performance requirements (SMPR). Results of single-laboratory validation (SLV) tests and standards for ingredients and heavy metals in foods are discussed.
