- Abstract
The article explores the role of the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Program in forging collaboration between higher education and homeland security in the U.S. Particular focus is given to the alliance between James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia and George Mason University (GMU) in Fairfax County, Virginia and the former's Institute for Infrastructure and Information Assurance (IIIA). A summary of symposia on homeland security held in Washington, D.C. is provided.
